I see you. You are in college, a new grad or perhaps you have just landed your “dream” job that you worked so hard for yet sh*t keeps hitting the fan, stopping you dead in your tracks. Stress keeps flying in from all different directions and you are barely keeping your head above water.
You read the blogs, watch the videos, listen to the podcasts...you are doing “all the things” to figure out what in the hell is a matter with you yet nothing is helping you feel better.
The truth is... nothing is wrong with you! But there are things in your life that need some tweaks.
You are in the right place. Let’s figure this out together.
From the constant pressure to perform to the endless scrolls on the ‘gram of the seemingly perfect lives of everyone else, being a teen is hard. It is harder now than it was for your parents, but they don’t get it. They do not understand the anxiety you feel as you walk into school or the doubt you hold inside regarding every decision you make.
Am I making the right choice? Are other people going to judge me?
There are endless expectations placed upon you...earn good grades in school, show kindness, use manners, smile, stand tall, speak up, lower your voice, share your opinion, watch what you say and the list goes on and on.
No wonder why you’d rather get lost in the scroll of social media than sit at the dinner table.
Things don’t have to feel so hard. Let’s work together to get you feeling better.
Family therapy is designed to focus on finding solutions for problems that continue to disrupt the interactions and flow of the household. We work on strengthening communication skills amongst each member of the household in addition to establish roles and boundaries. By redesigning the dynamics, families learn to overcome challenges related to communication, conflict, and other issues in order to develop a stronger sense of cohesion and support.
Maybe you’ve been through a break-up, and you feel broken or lost without the ex. Your life is hanging in this “grey” area and you are desperate to break free from it.
Or perhaps you’re in a relationship that feels “off,” and you’re not sure why. You’re still in it, but there’s an underlying problem you can’t quite pinpoint.
Or is it the people in your life that you love the most have these great plans for your future — but YOU have dreams of YOUR OWN, so you feel torn?
The good news is that you can have what you want, without feeling the guilt of disappointing someone else.
Let’s work together to create a life that YOU love.
We will assist your family in the entire process of procuring services for your child, or ensuring that he or she is currently receiving appropriate services.
We offer a variety of options for families to work with a consultant to secure services for their child that result in success. This may include reviewing an IEP and providing feedback, having us attend an IEP or 504 meeting to advocate for your child directly, or working with you on an ongoing basis from the time of eligibility, through the development of the IEP and/or 504 plan and beyond.
Navigating the process of appropriate services for your child can be overwhelming. We want to make that easier for you and to help you feel like a valued member of your student’s team. We are flexible and will adjust to your needs.
Our staff will start each experience with a 20-minute free consultation, where we complete an intake questionnaire and assess your consultative needs. We will then work with you to determine the right services for your family.
